“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything. Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us. ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being. ’As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring.’” Acts 17:24-28

This passage always brings great comfort to me…especially when my world seems to be falling apart. It is a reminder that no matter what my circumstances may be –

God is BIGGER!

He created me. He loves me. He has a plan for me. He never leaves me nor forsakes me. I am where, and when, I am for a reason. He has numbered my days and He holds every one of them in the palm of His hand. There is no need to fear or be anxious because all I ever need to do is reach out to Him and He will be found by me. That is His promise.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

Beloved, there is no need to fear, for God Himself has marked out our times and our boundaries. You can trust Him because He is GOOD and He is GREAT. And because of Jesus, we can confidently journey through this life as dearly loved children of God.
